The casino was given a license to operate by Prince Carl von Nassau –Usingen to a city banker. The establishment that opened in 1771 has been closed several times due to a ban on gaming and a revolution but it continually opened its doors.

A lesson in history is definitely one of the least things that you would expect from visiting a casino but with so many old gaming establishments, it would be difficult not to get curious of how the establishment came to be and what it went through all those years.
